Hairs of a stramenopile
Description:
Summary[edit] Description: English: This electron micrograph shows details of a flagellum that cannot be seen with a light microscope. Distinctive tripartite hairs arise at regular intervals along the flagellum. The basal part of each hair (two are marked with green arrows) appear flexible. The base gives rise to long stiff straw-like hairs (blue arrows). Thin filaments (red) extend from the tips of the hairs. Date: 2 March 2019, 17:02:57. Source: Own work. Author: Djpmapleferryman.
