Description:
Summary[edit] Description: Despite its size, the North American porcupine is a surprisingly agile climber. These quilled rodents can be between 2-3ft in length and weigh nearly 20lbs. Though they may not hibernate, these introverts will spend rough winter storms huddled together in dens, tolerating company for a little bit of warmth. Credit: Gary Eslinger/USFWS.
