Description:
Summary[edit] Description: English: Latrodectus hesperus, female - western black widow Identification: The egg sac was observed and seen to be like a black widow and not that of a brown widow. It was judged to be a western black widow (not an eastern or northern) based on the location. location: Fullerton, CA, USA I believe the reason that the hour glass is orange with yellow stripes and not a solid red is that this spider is in the instar before the hour glass changes to the standard red hour glass. Date: 1 November 2008. Source: Own work. Author: Davefoc.
