Description:
Summary[edit] Description: Male Williamson's Sapsucker Sphyrapicus thyroideus, Woodpecker family (Picidae). Stillwater Fork, Uinta, Utah. I was busy with my plants when I noticed that this guy is expressing some concern about my presence. Seeing that I don't care about him, he revealed his home in the aspen tree nearby. This was a hasty shot. I set up my camera and waited for the next visit. The next was female with her beak full of tasty stuff. She had absolutely different appearance than her mate.
