Description:
Summary[edit] Description: The Calico Pennant has pretty red eyes, a black chest and either red (male) or yellow (female) abdominal heart shaped markings. They are also called Elisa Skimmers because their latin name is Celithemis elisa. They are more often found in fields and next to ponds but do fly over the water as well. The mating scene is a colorful display of red and yellow hearts. Date: 29 July 2008, 10:22. Source: Calico Pennant. Author: John Flannery from Richmond County, North Carolina, USA.
