In general it compares very closely with Pachy-rukhos, but the limbs are shorter and the grade of speciali-zation is not (juite as high. This species is similar to P. garzoni except for size, theforms running about 12% largtr, and being heavier built.In this same line the upper and lower molars are relativelywider and heavier. The top of the skull also is wider.I have drawn carefully the skull and dentition so that thedetail can be seen from the figures. Beside triangulidens,Ameghino described P. robustum, which, as far as I cansee, differs only in being about 5% larger, which is w^ellwithin individual variation, so I have considered it as asynonym.
