Botrychium pedunculosum in California. (6734049473)
Description:
Summary[edit] Description: This uncommon Botrychium species was first found in California in 2010, at a site in forest on the western slope of the central Sierra Nevada. It is seen here at that location where I was shown it in 2011, in a semi-open spot associated with conifers and Fragaria virginianum (see the red stawberry at the left of the image). The plants were smaller than I have seen them at Lostine Canyon in Oregon. The identification has been confirmed by Don Farrar using isozyme analysis. August 27th 2011, image I11-9905.
