Summary[edit] Description: ʻŌhiʻa, ʻŌhiʻa lehua, Lehua Myrtaceae Endemic to the Hawaiian Islands (Oʻahu only) ʻAiea Ridge Trail, Oʻahu Early Hawaiians used the hard wood was used for kapa beaters, musical instruments, gunwales and interior framework for canoes.
