Image of Androdon Gould 1863

Description:

Description: The natural history of this incredible hummingbird is poorly known. This endemic of the Chocó and Darién lowlands and foothills seems to have seasonal movements along elevation, at least in the gradient from the Nechí lowlands to the northern slopes of the Central cordillera. We've found this jewel having peaks of abundance at certain times of the year at 1500 m. Here's a male!!. Date: 1 November 2004, 00:00. Source: Androdon aequatorialis (Tooth-billed Hummingbird).
