Identification Notes[edit] Thin ring, grooved underneath Stipe striate with thin fibres, rhizoids at base Taste & smell of flour Flask-shaped (utriform, non-mucronate) cheilocystidia, approx. 50µ × 22µ Spores approx. 8.5μ × 5μ A. praecox is part of a poorly defined complex of species. This identification follows Funga Nordica[1]. I think A. acericola is ruled out because of the grassy location and A. sphaleromorpha is ruled out because the stem was not bulbous and the cap was not very yellow.
