White-faced Palpada (Palpada albifrons) (7614139004)
Description:
Summary[edit] Description: Another beautiful Syrphid fly that I found nectaring on Spermacoce verticillata blossoms at Juno Dunes. This fly is much smaller than the unidentified Palpada sp. I posted last week but was robustly competing with (and outnumbered by) them. It is about 10mm long. Date: 19 July 2012, 10:09.
