Description: Spikelets are 4-6-flowered and green with pink tinges in early flowering, becoming pale at maturity. Lemmas are about 3.5 mm long (excluding lobes), 2-lobed and 1-awned, with rows of hairs over the back and the lower portion of the awn brown and once or twice twisted. Paleas are narrow.
