Live Diatom: Gyrosigma acuminatum (Kützing) Rabenhorst. Chromatophore (chloroplast) colored with typical fulvous is clearly visible through the transparent silica frustule. There is a nucleus in the middle of the cell. Light microscopy, differential interference contrast (DIC).
