Thanks to Josef Greimler, University of Vienna, for comments on taxonomic position of this plant. --Franz Xaver 12:23, 11 January 2007 (UTC) Description: Gentianella germanica agg.: „stiriaca“ - This plant belongs to a local group of populations, which shows intermediate phenetic characters between Gentianella austriaca (NE Alps), or Gentianella lutescens (Carpathians) respectively, and Gentianella rhaetica (central E Alps). Genetically, the population from Schöckl belongs mostly to the gene pool of G. rhaetica with influence from G. austriaca, in some individuals. Such plants have been described by Wettstein (1892) as Gentiana stiriaca.
