Nematus spiraeae larva on Goat's beard
Description:
13 mm long larva. Penultimate instar with small black dots on the side and a broad black band on the head. Most important for ID of this species is its restricted choice of foodplant; it only feeds on Goat's beard (Aruncus dioicus) and Bridewort (Spiraea salicifolia).
