Description:
Workers of the Northern harvester termite dismembering dry grass blades at dusk, in the Spekboom hills, Limpopo. Their gnawing is audible where they are active. Though none are visible here, a few soldiers may mingle with the workers to inflict a painful bite on an intruder.
