Summary[edit] Description: Crichton, Midlothian, Scotland. Notes: Face without projecting hairs. Dusted face and frons. Hairy eyes. Mouth not protruding much. Hind femur mostly pale. Thoracic dorsum covered in dense erect pale hairs. Scutellar bristles. Orange antennae = 'Grossa' group (specifically uviformis, albipila, nebulosa). Not nebulosa as wings completely clear. Not albipila as both frons and face dusted not shiny. Uviformis like nebulosa has frons completely grey dusted (see www.flickr.com/photos/63075200@N07/sets/72157629439259556/ ) Other characters suggesting uviformis are the long yellow body hairs, strongly dusted face, and orange 3rd antennal segment.
