A Kaka parrot digging out a Huhu grub (Prionoplus reticularis) from the trunk of a dead pine tree, then eating this high protein food while holding it with one foot. This series of photos taken over a period of 4 or 5 minutes, at some distance using the cameras internal flash and manual focus - hence the poor visual quality.
