Description: Hygrocybe laeta (Pers.) P. Kumm. Image location: Jackson State Forest, Mendocino Co., California, USA Caps up to 4.3cm across and surface sticky. Stem up to 3mm thick, viscid and tapering somewhat. Growing on the ground/humus among Redwood and mixed conifers. White spores, not amyloid, and ~ 6.1-7.1 X 4.8-5.9 microns.
