Description:
Summary[edit] Description: Black-eyed Susan (Rudbeckia hirta) is a biennial wildflower of mixed and tallgrass prairies. It germinates and grows a seedling the first year and the second year produces abundant seeds before dying, relying on the seeds it produced to perpetuate in the prairie. It is commonly seeded in prairie restorations creating a show of color in the first years before fading until a disturbance of some type allows seeds to germinate and grow again.
