Summary[edit] Description: English: Chupir Char is an oxbow lake located at Purbasthali, West Bengal. Every year during the winter months, thousands of migratory birds visit this area and the Osprey (also known as river hawk, sea hawk, fish hawk) can be referred to as the King of this place. Generally, a pair of them show up and sometimes with an off-spring. While feasting on fish caught from the lake and the adjoining river, it gives ample opportunity to the photographers to frame.
