Description:
Summary[edit] Description: English: Crossbills A pair of Crossbills (Loxia curvirostra). This finch has done well out of industrial forestry - they eat pine seeds. Because of their diet, they are winter breeders, and by April their young have probably fledged. Seen in a nearby tree as I was having some lunch. Date: 16 April 2007. Source: From geograph.org.uk.
