Summary[edit] Description: White cheeked barbet Megalaima viridis aka Bucco viridis Kumarokom, Kerala, India The White cheeked barbet ( Megalaima viridis) is also known as the Small Green Barbet. It is endemic to the forests of Southern India. They feed mainly on fruits - figs (various ficus species) and introduced cherries. Insects supplement their diet.
