Description:
Summary[edit] Description: Known in New Zealand, I believe, as the lancewood, I like to think of it as the Devil's Christmas tree (very Tim Burton). Possibly the ultimate weird crusty brown juvenile foliage. The adult tree is apparently quite ordinary looking. Photographed at Wakehurst a few years back, this has justifiably become a very trendy plant among certain kinds of gardeners in the UK of late. Araliaceae. Date: 4 January 2003, 02:59. Source: Pseudopanax ferox. Author: peganum from Small Dole, England.
