Description:
Summary[edit] Description: English: Atractocarpus chartaceus, seedlings. Fruit identified by the botanist A.G. Floyd. I found a couple of red fruits in the rainforest at Hayters Hill, near Byron Bay. Had no idea what they were. Drove south to Coffs Harbour Botanic gardens. Handed one of the fruit to the person at reception. Then a week later A.G. Floyd phoned me and identified them. He kept one seed pod, me the other. The seeds from my seed pod grew very well. Presumably his also grew well and now are in the botanic gardens at Coffs Harbour. Date: 7 June 2005. Source: Own work.
