Description:
Summary[edit] Description: I don't know what it is but I've always had a thing about these small, brightly coloured Soldierflies and their military names - Banded General, Black Legionnaire, Solver Colonel - so I was quite pleased to snap this marginally acceptable image of a Broad Centurian recently. This is a male with a shiny green thorax. They're not rare but they're worth taking a closer look at. Broad Centurian, Chloromyia formosa. Date: 5 June 2016, 08:55. Source: Broad Centurian.
