Summary[edit] Description: Little Bluestem is a native grass located within the tall, mixed-grass prairies of North Dakota. It is a warm season, perennial bunchgrass that reddens when maturity is reached. This specimen was found east of the reclaimed gravel pit on the Woodworth Station within Chase Lake National Wildlife Refuge in North Dakota. Credit: USFWS. Date: 26 September 2011, 02:02.
