Summary[edit] Description: English: Photograph of the seashell Macrocypraea cervinetta (Kiener, 1844) / Origin of image: Own collection. Panama. Gobernadora Island. Upper view (not Macrocypraea zebra (Linnaeus, 1758)). This species was again determined in another species through information from its original source. According Abbott & Dance, Macrocypraea zebra is from the Atlantic Ocean and Macrocypraea cervinetta is from the west coast of America. The Gobernadora Island is from the west coast of Panama, Pacific Ocean, habitat of M. cervinetta, a similar species to M. zebra. ABBOTT, R. Tucker; DANCE, S. Peter (1982). Compendium of Seashells.
