Summary[edit] Description: English: Photo of a juvenile Eastern Ratsnake (Pantherophis alleghaniensis). The Eastern Ratsnake is the most commonly reported snake by landowners in Maryland. It is found throughout the state. Juveniles have strongly patterned backs of gray and brown blotches on pale grey. Date: 6 July 2015.
