Summary[edit] Description: English: Aquarius sp. Wickenburg Mts., Yavapai Co., Arizona, USA. The specimen was found on the surface of a cattle watering trough. There is a thin layer of water atop a thicker sheet of ice. Gerridae prey on insects that fall onto the water. Without breaking the surface tension, they are able to skate across the water surface.
