Description:
Summary[edit] Description: English: The zooplankton Beroidae are often found accompanying swarms of medusae in the water column. These tiny open water inhabitants use their hair-like projections called cilia to propel through the water. They are also carnivorous, making a feast of other ctenophores almost as large as itself. The zooplankton are an important food source for a variety of marine organisms and baleen whales. Date:. Source: http://www.sanctuaries.nos.noaa.gov/pgallery/pgchannel/habitats/habitats_16.html.
