Loggerhead Shrikes perched on Tufa (35011747366)

Image of Lanius Linnaeus 1758

Description:

Summary[edit] Description: South Tufa, Mono Lake Tufa State Natural Reserve, Mono County, California I've always had trouble photographing Loggerhead Shrikes. They would always be out of reach of my lens and would fly away if I got closer. But South Tufa was a different story. Here I was able to get two at one time and behind where I was standing were two other Shrikes going about their business perching on branches or Tufa and swooping down to capture insects as they flew by. Amazing place. Date: 26 May 2017, 06:45. Source: Loggerhead Shrikes perched on Tufa. Author: Becky Matsubara from El Sobrante, California.
