Summary[edit] Description: Flowers of the Yellowstone sand verbena. Endemic to the sandy shoreline of Yellowstone Lake in Yellowstone National Park, Yellowstone sand verbena (Abronia ammophila) grows on the open, sunny, sparsely vegetated sites between the areas affected by wave action and the more densely vegetated areas inland.
