Ceanothus arboreus—felt-leaved ceanothus. A fast grower that is one of the few ceanothus that reaches tree size, The species often grows to well over twenty feet tall in cultivation. This drought-tolerant species has been in cultivation since the 19th century. Native to the Channel Islands of Santa Catalina, Santa Cruz, and Santa Rosa.
