Description: Flowers are in lax, terminal racemes up to 9 cm long. Flowers are 3–8 mm long and bright purplish blue. Sepals are unequal; the 2 inner sepals are large, wing-like and petal-like, while the outer 3 are half the size. Petals 3, with the lower 2 petals united to form a pouch.
