Summary[edit] Description: In October 2008, We were in Ultapani ,the forest village,which is part of bodoland sharing borders with Bhutan, The area was a heaven for butterflies,apart from butterflies I was fascinated by the people there. www.flickr.com/photos/balakrishnan_valappil/3030253631/ On a rainy day we were confined inside without any butterflying ,in the evening when Ushaji(Ms Usha Lachungpa,Senior Research Officer,Sikkim Forest dept} and Isaacji(Mr Isaac Kehimkar,BNHS) were discussing many things about conservation,ecotourism etc with the volunteers there,meanwhile I engaged myself with the moths on the wall attracted by the CFLs lit by a generator, and started clicking,and when I switched on the powerful searchlight beam towards the forest the result was amazing….there was hundreds of moths all over on the walls,floor etc here are some of them with apologies to Isaacji and Ushaji and the volunteers to whom my movements around them must have created inconvenience any moth expert who is interested in helping me Identifying them are welcome and my sincere thanks in advance.
