Description: This species in the north, as it is here, is now considered by WoRMS to be Cotonopsis lafresnayi. C. translirata is a southerly species. Live Columbellid, Cotonopsis lafresnayi (P. Fischer & Bernardi, 1856) (synonyms: Anachis (Costoanachis) lafresnayi, (Costoanachis translirata) in trawl on RV Gemma, during BioBlitz at TDWG 2010.
