Middle Butte (5034717638)
Description:
Description: Much of the vegetation in the vicinity of Middle Butte was burned within the last one or two decades and big sagebrush is thus absent to uncommon but native bunchgrasses like Elymus elymoides (squirelltail), Poa secunda (Sandberg bluegrass), and Agropyron spicatum (bluebunch wheatgrass) are common. Notably, Bromus tectorum (cheatgrass) is not common in these burned areas whereas Agropyron cristatum (crested wheatgrass) is (as seen hear near the highways to Idaho Falls and Blackfoot).
