Summary[edit] Description: longleaf hawksbeard, Crepis acuminata, California, White Mountains, Cottonwood Basin, Granite Meadow, Fishlake Valley drainage, elevation 3019 m (9905 ft). Just a quick snapshot to document the recent discovery of this common species in the White Mountains. The narrow hairless heads with only 5 phyllaries are distinctive for the species, which is found in upland habitats throughout the cooler regions of the interior western United States.
