Description:
Grindelia stricta var. platyphylla—Pacific gum plant. The Flora of North America has lumped this taxon into Grindelia hirsutula. The Jepson E-Flora as well as PLANTS database retain G. stricta var. platyphylla. Found in salt marshes along the coastal strand from Del Norte County south to Ventura County, including the northern Channel Islands. Photographed at Regional Parks Botanic Garden located in Tilden Regional Park near Berkeley, CA.
