Description:
Summary[edit] Description: Mascarenhasia arborescens Apocynaceae Shrub or small tree up to 8 m. Native to Africa, Madagascar No common name, but I would call it 'rubber tree': The tree yields a rubber which at one time attracted some interest in southeastern Africa, but it contains a high amount of gum (68%) and is of no commercial value. Location: Mt Coot-tha Botanic garden, Brisbane, Australia. Date: 16 January 2010, 16:38. Source: Mascarenhasia arborescens. Author: Tatters ❀ from Brisbane, Australia.
