Helianthella castanea—Mt. diablo helianthella. Included in the CNPS Inventory of Rare and Endangered Plants on list 1B.2 (rare, threatened, or endangered in CA and elsewhere). The species grows only in the San Francisco Bay Area where it is threatened by urbanization, as a quick glance at the Google Books listing for the species will confirm since it appears in many Environmental Impact Reports.
