Description: Loosely tufted grass 1-1.5 m tall; branching occurs at the lower nodes. Found in native pastures and woodlands on shallow, low fertility soils. More common on hill slopes (occasionally on sandy river flats) in the western portion of the coast. Very drought hardy, but frost sensitive. Date: 14 March 2012, 08:49.
