Summary[edit] Description: English: Bark stripping by Kaka (Nestor meridionalis septentrionalis). The red mark is exposed wood where the kaka has stripped away bark so that it can lick sap from the tree. Above it, and further down the trunk can be seen old scarring from previous visits.
