Summary[edit] Description: English: A species of Zebra cockroach (Genus Temnopteryx), probably an immature female, in a chalet in a conservation area. Date: 16 October 2010. Source: Own work. Author: JonRichfield. The genus Temnopteryx includes perhaps less than a dozen species of Zebra cockroaches, harmless, endemic to South Africa, mainly within the fynbos biome. Males with reduced wings, females wingless. These are not significant pests and are generally inoffensive. Google Earth coordinates=-33.777 23.087. About 20 km south of Uniondale, South Africa.
