A Melanistic Babbler Shaking off the water in the rain (50079917141)

Image of Turdoides Cretzschmar 1826

Description:

Summary[edit] Description: A puzzling creature since babblers are never this color. They are usually light greying brown. I was excited at what I thought was a new species and so watched it for a while. Later an expert identified this as melanistic (a genetic mutation resulting in dark color all over the body). The perch was dark, but the bird was quite having fun in the rain despite its angry demeanour. Rain is always fun! Many thanks in advance for your views and feedback. Please stay safe and healthy.
