Description: Native, warm season, perennial, erect herb 10-30 cm tall. Stems leafy; leaves usually hairy, alternate and 15-35 mm long. Usually has multiple flower stems. Flowerheads are button-like with a central dimple, yellow and 8-15 mm in diameter. Flowering is from spring to autumn. Common and widespread in low-growing native grasslands, grassy heathlands and other communities with open understoreys; usually at higher altitudes. Coloniser of bare ground via seed.
