Description:
Summary[edit] Description: A toque macaque monkey (Macaca sinica), which sort of looks like it’s wearing a hat (toque), in the pouring rain. Toque macaques are endemic to Sri Lanka and we encounter quite a few of them on our tour despite the fact that the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) has listed it as Endangered due to habitat destruction and hunting. Date: 24 January 2016, 12:10. Source: 20160124_Sri Lanka_3778 crop Polonnaruwa sRGB. Author: Dan Lundberg.
