Description:
Description: This time I felt the pain of a longer working distance, the spider have a very large web and I couln't touch it or will mess the mating scene, so needed to work with the canon 100mm macro at about 1:1.5 with a 22cm distance to capture the mating scene, the flash wasn't also bracket mounted, needed to left hand it and set to manual mode 1/1. Still a interesting scenic shoot, but not artistic macro, the male is mating with the female, there is another male waiting for a opportunity and still a very small spider probably fom other species nearby. Now I really convinced that a close flash is one of the best tools we have for these photos. I'm also glad I'm human. Date: 19 March 2010, 12:31.
