Description:
Soldier beetles Cantharis livida (commonly leatherwings) and Protophormia terraenovae, (commonly northern blowfly, blue-bottle fly, blue-assed fly, and blue-arsed fly), on common hogweed, Heracleum sphondylium, at Woods Mill, a woodland, meadow and wetland nature reserve, and headquarters for the Sussex Wildlife Trust in the civil parish of Henfield in West Sussex, England. The reserve includes a restored but not working water mill and other buildings as an environmental education centre and offices.
Camera: Canon EOS 6D with Canon EF 24-105mm F4L IS USM lens.
Software: RAW file lens-corrected and optimized with DxO OpticsPro 11 Elite and Viewpoint 3, and further optimized with Adobe Photoshop CS2.
